The same way as our DNA, the places we live at as well as the land stores memories. Our houses and apartments store the energy of previous owners or tenants. The land also stores the memory of its history.

You might have come to places where the energy felt very good. If it was a new place you moved into, it might have been because the previous resident was happy and created a loving environment. Other places might not feel that good to you. It is probably because the place held energies of arguments, illness or unhappiness. Whatever the person who lived there experienced, felt and created, it is all stored in the place itself. If it is an old building, it is not just the energies of the current/previous resident that are stored there, but the ones of people who might have lived there 50-60 years ago.

The same goes for the land. If you live on a piece of land where battles have been fought, you might still feel the energy of war and loss. But if it is a piece of land where people lived in peace, where they honored the space and lived in harmony with their neighbors, that is what the land will feel like to you as well.

A lot of places in the US have also been sacred for the Native Americans- places where they buried their ancestors or where they held ceremonies. Those places are not very good for building a house as it will interrupt and dishonor the sacredness of the land.

Some places also have portals or leylines which can interfere with the energy of the place. Other places have earthbound spirits attached to them.

We want our environment to have the best energy possible for us. Whether you’ve been at your current place for a while or are moving to a new place, it is good to check out the energy of the house/ apartment as well as the land. And clear it, if needed.
