Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian forgiveness ritual that helps to resolve conflicts and disputes with other people: family, at work, within a community or romantic relationship. It is a very simple way of resolving a problem and brining back harmony. Ho’opnopono is not a healing modality, but a clearing modality, healing will then result out of the clearing and out of bringing back harmony.

This is what the word Ho’oponopono means:

Ho’o- the guide on its path, to take care of something
Pono- perfect, order, harmony, balance
Ponopono- strengthening, make the wrongs right again

We are all a part of this world. What Ho’oponopono teaches is that as we heal ourselves we are healing the world. Everything in this world is connected. If I am healing myself, I am healing you. If I am healing myself, I am healing this planet.

Here is one of the traditions in Hawaii: whenever a child was acting out, the child was not being punished by the family. Instead, the family called in a family conference, usually lead by a Kahuna (a Hawaiian Shaman). During the family conference, the members formed a circle around the child and instead of accusing him or her, told the child what they loved about him or her, thus bringing back and reminding them about their love and self-worth. During a family conference the members would also do Ho’oponopono. They would ask themselves, "What in me has created that reaction on this person?" and do the Ho’oponopono prayer on it. This all brought deep healing not only to the child, but to the whole family.

In this class you will learn how to apply Ho’opnopono to resolve conflict and even illness in your own life. You will learn how to create an environment filled with joy. You will also learn how you can contribute to healing the world by healing yourself.
